Theodore B. Conrath was our Founder & first CEO. Mr. Conrath spent most of his life with chronic disabilities. This web site is the realization of his vision to provide useful information for the physically challenged and their families.

At age 14, Mr. Conrath sustained a football injury which resulted in a chronic condition affecting his lower spine. At age 17 a work related fall resulted in further spinal damage. At age 21 a multiple fatality/injury auto-accident resulted in additional damage to Mr. Conrath's lower and cervical spine.

By age 50 the collective impact of such damage progressively worsened to the point that walking was limited to short distances. After various unsuccessful braces, Mr. Conrath was ultimately restricted to a wheelchair.

Having spent three-quarters of a 66 year lifetime with an increasing chronic disability he is well acquainted with the resultant frustrations. He envisioned that Handicapped Unlimited, Inc. will provide a "be all you can be" mentality to replace the confusion, frustration and disillusionment which too often can degenerate into a non-productive life formula.
